Nothing evokes the Spirit of The Holidays like music and where better than the historic Sun Valley Opera House to enjoy a wonderful evening of live carols, old and new! We’ve gathered some of Sun Valley’s favorite performers for a night your family will remember for years to come! Join Aly Wepplo and David Janeski, Ward and Courtney Loving, John Mauldin and Melodie Taylor-Mauldin with special guests Joe Fos, Wood River High School’s premier choirs Colla Voce and the B-tones and a special appearance by The Sun Valley Carolers for an evening filled with song, laughter and Christmas cheer!

John Mauldin
John Mauldin
praised by the Salt Lake Tribune for his“...polished technique...” and his “...appealingly light, flexible tenor...” voice, has appeared as a soloist with numerous organizations including the Honolulu Symphony, Phoenix Bach Choir, and the Vancouver Symphony. Stage roles include Alfredo in La Traviata, Scipione in Il sogno di Scipione, Nanki-poo in The Mikado, Camille in The Merry Widow, Sparky in Forever Plaid, Archibald Craven in The Secret Garden, and the role of Stage Manager in Ned Rorem’s opera adaptation of Our Town. He is also a member of acoustic trio Avenue B with his sister, Leslie and friend, Jed Moss. Avenue B performs everything from Opera to original folk songs. An active educator, John is a consistent instructor at various music camps and a private vocal instructor. He currently teaches for Sun Valley Summer Symphony School of Music, and Pioneer Montessori School.
Melodie Mauldin

Melodie Taylor-Mauldin is thrilled to be performing with friends this Holiday Season. A versatile actor, choreographer, director, and teacher, Melodie teaches dance and choreographs for companies in Utah and Idaho. Previous work and credits include The Glenn Miller Big Band Show, Comedy Tonight, South Pacific, Oklahoma, 42nd Street, Quilters, Jacques Brel, Opera Idaho’s Barber of Seville, Little Women, The King and I, My Fair Lady, and Company of Fools’ productions of A Year With Frog & Toad and A Day in Hollywood A Night in the Ukraine. Mel is a graduate of Weber State University in Music, Dance and Theater. Stay warm, be kind and Happy Holidays!
David Janeski
David Janeski
David Janeski has been entertaining professionally for over a dozen years.
His talents brought him to beautiful Sun Valley for the first time ten years ago with the Fools, where he is a company artist.
You may recognize him from his work with the Fools, staged readings throughout Ketchum, or from crooning alongside his wife, Aly, as The Beverly Lovers.
Nothing brings him more joy than sharing the warmth of the holidays with others.
He is proud to share the stage with this talented assembly of elves and hopes Santa agrees they've all been very good this year.
Aly Wepplo
Aly Wepplo
Aly Wepplo hails from Virginia. She first came to Idaho in 2007 to work with Company of Fools on The Spitfire Grill. She made the move to this beautiful valley in 2015. Since then, she has performed locally in Grey Gardens, Frog and Toad, August: Osage County, Enchanted April, Steel Magnolias, Doubt, and more. Recently, she appeared in staged readings of Love, Loss, and What I Wore, Outside Mullingar, and Molly Sweeney with Sun Valley Performing Arts. Aly’s other acting credits include Shrek! The Musical, The Tempest, Wait Until Dark, and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. She wishes you happy holidays!
Courtney Loving
Courtney Loving
Courtney Loving feels very honored and privileged to have opportunities to work with and enjoy so many talented people since moving to Wood River Valley 3 years ago. She has been seen at Company of Fools as Karen in August Osage County, St.Thomas Playhouse as Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music and The Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods and Next Stage in numerous play readings produced by Jon Kane. Prior to life in “The Valley” Courtney’s theatre career took her from Texas to New York to Georgia and many stops in-between. Some favorite roles include: Vickie in The Full Monty, Jesus, in Godspell in NYC, the Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods,
Rizzo in Grease, Sister Amnesia in Nunsense 3, Cleo in The Most Happy Fella, Gertie in a tour of Oklahoma! and Dallas award nominated role of Catherine in Pippin.
Ward Loving
Ward Loving
Ward has a performed in a number of local musical theater productions including Into the Woods (Baker), the Sound of Music (Max Detweiler) and Children of Eden (Noah) with the St. Thomas Playhouse and A New Brain (Mr. Bungee) with the Spot. Ward was an apprentice with Des Moines Metro Opera, and has performed with Fort Worth Opera and the New York Philharmonic. Ward has a Master of Music in Voice Performance from the University of North Texas in Denton, TX.
